Due to a stupid decision by cPanel to allow only 64-bit OS on their DNS Clusters, we will be migrating our current nameserver cluster to 64-bit OS. This shouldn't result in any downtime.

The NS4 server will be migrating to an entirely new rack and IP address (with a different bandwidth blend). Unless you're using the IP address for NS4, the change should be transparent.

The Teamspeak migration should also be transparent, aside from a reboot and IP change. If you are using the IP, it will need to be changed.

Thanks for letting us know. It looks as if everything is working well, and I didn't notice a hiccup. Let me know if I need to do anything.

Thanks for loking after us Bryan. :)

Does it make sense, at all?? They must have some kind of reason.

No clue at all. They're no longer supporting 32-bit. I run 64-bit on everything except the nameservers. Now I have to upgrade the damn things. Should have done it all along. ha ha! And they require tons of RAM now, which is mildly frustrating.

I'm not finished yet. Plenty of room for hiccups. :D :D :D

Ah what the hell, while I'm in here fooling around with Teamspeak, might as well update the other servers too. :p

Downtime should be minimal, and limited to a reboot or two of the TS servers.

Nameserver migrations/maintenance happening right now, in case you notice any weird DNS issues.
