Yesterday I got my free VPS from here within 2 hours and was very happy with that. I just noticed something with the download speed over IPv4.

Here's the speedtest (Speedtest.net only offers IPv4 tests):

    Here's a benchmark:

Just a test download from a server in Las Vegas:

    Length: 100000000 (95M)
    Saving to: '100MB.test'

    100MB.test 100%[===================>] 95.37M 24.2MB/s in 4.0s

    2017-05-09 20:46:55 (24.1 MB/s) - '100MB.test' saved [100000000/100000000]

I noticed after doing the three tests that for some reason IPv6 internet access is faster, which I kinda find odd. Was that intended?
I mean your supplying free VPS for everyone who signs up with a paid domain so I can't complain, but I sorta find it weird that IPv6 has better internet access, usually it's the same.

If someone can help, that would be great. Thanks! I'm loving this service! :)

The free VPS doesn't include IPv4, my guess is that Cloud-flare or whatever you're using is slowing the connection? You've only shown download rates, is there a difference with upload too?

It is true that IPv4 isn't available, i.e. for binding ports or running a web server, etc. But in the NAT setup, IPv4 will still work to a limited extent.

Try the benchmark again. Your IPv4 was being capped at 10 mbps. Virtualizer has been doing really weird things lately since the last update. There was a container a few days ago that was assigned 1% of 1 core. Needless to say, the VPS really didn't work at all. :)

Your Disk I/O actually seems quite low too. Very odd. I'll look into that one too.

It does have IPv4, just that I share the IP with people who have free VPS here too. The tests I did was done directly on the VPS. I would have shown IPv6 upload but speed test.net doesn't support it I believe.

Thanks for replying so fast. However, today I found out that my VPS doesn't even have internet access at all! I can ping the NAT IP, but there's no internet from inside, I logged in with serial console and tried to ping google, no response. I think something else is wrong now, I tried reinstalling the os, still no good.
The disk speed isn't bad at all to me, it doesn't really matter to me if it works. :)

You're good now. Was a firewall issue on your VPS.

Oh thanks, was able to access it now, going to check if the internet speed was fixed or not.

The internet works fine now, was able to get it working with amazing speeds.

Benchmark seems to be good, disk speed isn't a big issue anyway.

I'd still like to get to the bottom of the disk speed. It's stil pretty darn fast, but it should be faster.
