Definitely would like a backup account too please Bryan :) Will be nice having that. Sure won't be backing up my TB of photography from my external HDD to it lmao but will be great for backing up website stuff lol.

Originally bought Office 365 University because not just of Office, but because of the 1TB OneDrive gives (supposedly once upon a time unlimited lmao) for backing up my photography etc.

But even with fast fiber, good luck backing up all your raw photo archives 32gb+ each time lmao. So I think I'm going to make use of ImageMagick to batch convert my raw images to JPG for backing up to the cloud lol.

Wish now tbh that I had a second SD card or CF card slot in my Canon EOS 70D like the xD series DSLRs do (top level series that is) for on the fly saving JPG backups to the secondary card of the RAW images on the first card. But then whilst on the fly would be awesome, ImageMagick should be able to be just as sufficient except for obviously if you accidentally wipe the first SD card lmao.

Think that I'm going to go with Google Drive in future though when my Office 365 subscription ends Dec next year. As obviously I currently have the 100gb 2 year free from when I got my Chromebook, and I sure am making use of some of it already from stuff from my phone seeing I edit my photos mostly on my phone lol. So even though I won't have office anymore, not that I make much use of office ever anyway. Google Ecosystem just much more useful.

I used to. No pets now...just the squirrels in my yard, and my owl, if they count. LOL!! Oh, and a coyote, and the occassional dog that stops by for water and dinner. :D :D

Currently stuck what I use to backup within Cpanel or better yet the S3 backup from WHM to also backup other accounts on my reseller. Have no backup option at all in WHM and only thing in Cpanel other than Cron Jobs which Joe was talking about, I can see is Jetbackup. Can't find any settings or options with that. Just seems to be doing an auto full account backup to my account keep updating that backup if anything changes.

Jet backup is the internal system we use for backups now. We got rid of R1Soft on the shared servers because of the bugs, the ridiculous price increase, and the horrendous customer support. I remember something like whmeasybackup or such for WHM.

Ok well if you are able to figure out something for me to use in WHM so I can backup mine and Ro's to the backup ftp, will be great as don't have any backup option at all in my WHM currently lol.

    https://whmeasybackup.com/

There's the one I was thinking of. It's the only one I heard of on reseller accounts. I'm sure there are others but I've never used them.

Definitely would have to say that's a pretty damn good price that. At least it's a one time fee and isn't stupid priced..

The first thing that Google suggested typing in WHMEasyBackup is "nulled"......

ugh Google Google Google **facepalm**. Why the heck null something that cheap lmao. People are just so damn desperate seriously

LOL!! Yeah, it's pretty reasonable. I used to have a reseller account with them (I think they got rid of them) and we used to give it for free to all our paid resellers. The licenses were something like $1.20 or $2, 1-time fee. It was crazy stupid cheap.

And actually now that I think about it, even before that, there was a 1-time fee we paid (I think about $50) and we could issue as many licenses as we liked for free!! Those were the days. ha ha!

Would be nice if you could enable Jetbackup in WHM for resellers but I assume you'd have to pay another license for it for doing that for client resellers despite it being in the same place lol.

Sucks that Google Drive and services don't give FTP. Would be just incredible if they did do that. But then they always have to limit things like that lmao. Could at least do it for ones who pay for an upgraded plan but still, nope lol

Pretty sure you can't do that. It's for the root level and that's it, as far as I know. I'm sure there are settings that allow resellers to restore their resold accounts (I just have to fool around with the settings...have honestly not had the chance), but you wouldn't be able to specify your own backup server or anything. That's all just for the root level.

I notice WHMEasyBackup say the trial is limited to 3 accounts. But don't say any time limit. Does that mean it will work forever as long as less than 3 accounts?

Still going to get it obviously if I do have a 4th account to add (3rd is being used by whmeasybackup for simplicity) but if it's not time restricted, only limit being 3 accounts, then at least won't need to rush.

I honestly don't know. It has been such a long time since I have used them. But if it's not time limited, that's awesome for smaller, personal reseller accounts.
